Edward Sexton

Sky Blue Pin Collar Shirt

This soft sky blue shirt is the pinnacle of sartorial luxury; cut in the finest Italian cotton satin and designed by the legendary Edward Sexton, you'll be hard pressed to find a more elegant alternative.

The Rationale

Inspired by the expressive shirting of the 30s, this design represents signature Sexton style at its most refined, with a tall pointed collar that frames the face more beautifully than a Botticelli.

Sexton shirts are crafted to the highest standard using Edward’s own pattern and technical specifications; the collar stand is engineered to raise aloft a beautiful seven-fold silk grenadine necktie as though it were Christ himself emerging from the virginal womb, whilst sitting comfortably around the neck. The shirt is sewn with an immaculate nine single-needle stitches per centimetre, swelled edges on the collar and cuffs, mother of pearl buttons and a gently gathered back-yoke.

Sky blue Edward Sexton shirt, The Rake

It’s cut in the finest cotton satin; ‘we prefer it to poplin’, Edward explains, ‘it’s richer and less see-through. It lends itself to empowered, masculine shirting.’ In short, this is the formal shirt at its most elevated, architectural and above all, luxurious.

The shirt is provided with navy silk cuff knots, collar stays and a base-metal collar bar. Unique solid silver and gold collar pins, handmade by Hatton Garden jeweller Toby Mclellan, are available to purchase here.

Please note that all Edward Sexton shirts are slim fitting.
